What to expect

On this 7-hour guided tour, you'll have the chance to explore Gran Canaria and its amazing flora and fauna. The island belongs to the region of Macaronesia and offers many attractions such as gorges, beaches, caves, and craters.

You'll be picked up from your hotel to enjoy a 1-hour ride where you can admire the landscape of the islands, full of wild ravines and curvy mountain roads.

Your guide will choose the best route depending on the weather conditions on a given day/region or season, taking into account, for example, blooming flora and other factors that will make the route very attractive.

After a 4-6 hours hike, you'll also have time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to taste local specialties or have a picnic.

Route details: distance: 7-12km; ↑ 300m - 600m ascent ↓ 300 - 600m descent.

Pickup service is available for Maspalomas area and Mogan area. The Maspalomas area includes Bahia Feliz, San Agustin, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, Sonnenland, Campo Internacional, San Fernando. The Mogan area includes Arguineguin, Puerto Rico, Taurito, Puerto de Mogan. Please be ready outside the reception of your hotel 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. The bus has the “GC Active Tour” logo.

Know in advance:

  • This tour operates with a minimum of 4 people
  • Pickup service is available for Maspalomas and Mogan areas. Please select your pickup area when you book the tour
  • For logistical reasons, the lunch in the restaurant can be replaced by a picnic (baguette, energy bar, fruit, 1.0l bottle of water)
  • In case of bad weather conditions or other adverse circumstances, the organizer can modify the route, change the tour date, or cancel it. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, you'll receive a full refund

Remember to bring:

  • Mountain clothing or sportwear
  • Hiking shoes with good grip are mandatory and will be checked by a guide before starting the trip
  • From October to March, the weather can vary more easily and rainfalls are usually more frequent (trips during rainy days are generally avoided, but sometimes the weather can be a surprise). Warm clothing with long sleeves as well as long trousers and, just in case, a rain jacket which can also serve as a windstopper are strongly recommended
