4.4/5 (3501)

No holiday to Majorca’s complete without a ride on one of its most famous landmarks, the Soller Train. This historic railway has been on the go since 1912, shuttling people between Palma and the laidback town of Soller for over 100 years. The journey between the two is about 27 kilometres long, most of which weaves through the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains, meaning you’re treated to incredible views of Majorca’s countryside. You’ll definitely want to bring a camera when you ride it – don’t worry about missing anything, either, the train’s fitted with huge windows to ensure your view is the best it can be.

“Pick-up and drop-off was far too long, accounting for 40% (4 of the 10 hours) of this trip.”

“The train, tram and mountain journey were all fabulous. The catamaran journey was awful due to choppy sea, that is no one's fault as you can't control the weather. What spoiled the trip for us was the guise, Irini. Her speech was slurred and no one could make out what she was saying. She walked off at each stop without giving out any info of where to meet up next and when! If it had not been for another hurt, Raul, we would have been completely lost. This spoiled our trip as we were so anxious!”

“The whole day was rushed. Our pick up time should have been 8:25. That became 8:45, we then spent a further 30 minutes waiting and looking for someone who was lost. We had 30 minutes to our selves at the first stop, this then became a further 30 minutes waiting on the bus because the same late person was taken ill. We went to the second stop with just the driver who didn't speak English and couldn't tell us how long we had to spend there. The trip said the train takes you on to Palma, it didn't”

“The guide and driver were very unhelpful mum uses a mobility walker and no help was given The last drop off point was a very long walk from the town down a cobblestone street we were not warned about this and guide went on ahead and left us to struggle down it If you have mobility issues this is not to be recommended There should be a note of this at booking”
