What to expect

Europe's oldest city, Cadiz is a treasure trove of historic sites and streets, seaside promenades and animated Andalusian ambiance. On this half-day tour, you'll uncover its past with a guided walk and admire highlights such as the cathedral, La Caleta beach and the Central Market.

We'll begin the day trip with a panoramic drive around Cadiz. You'll be able to get a real sense of this city-on-a-headland, which is almost surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. You'll stroll through squares, both grandiose and tree-shaded, see the beach and discover the ruins of Europe's largest Roman theatre. At Plaza de España, we'll see the House of the Four Towers, the old Customs Office and the monument to the 1812 Constitution.

You'll also admire the golden-domed, twin-towered baroque cathedral. To stand before it in the palm-fringed plaza and admire its two-toned façade is quite a feeling. You'll round off the tour with some free time to find your inner compass or head inside the Central Market to browse its stalls.
