  • You'll have lunch at the Antalya Dino Park – the animatronic dinosaurs will be a hit with kids
  • There's a plenty of time to kick back and relax on a couple of secluded beaches
  • Your expert guide will share their local knowledge of this part of Turkey and its people
What to expect

"This family-friendly tour is steeped in mythology," says Muzzafer, one of our guides. "Alexander the Great spent a winter in the ancient city of Phaselis, while from the top of Mount Olympos the gods and goddesses looked down, wishing they were in his place." It's quite a calling card but this tour lives up to it. You've got history at Phaselis and panoramic views from a ride on the Olympos Aerial Tram. What's more, there's time to visit some of Antalya's most secluded beaches and a mountain-top lunch.

First up is the ancient Greek and Roman city of Phaselis. It's scattered around a woodland and three little bays on the Lycian coastline and boasts impressive relics from classical times. Hadrian's Gate, the theatre and the aqueduct are among the standouts of the guided tour. Plus, you'll get to stroll among the ruins of former shops and the main street. There's also free time to visit the beaches, so bring your bathing gear. When you're finished relaxing by the coast and swimming in the sea, it's time to indulge the kids as you head to Antalya Dino Park for a late lunch surrounded by animatronic dinosaurs.

Your next destination is the Bey Mountains National Park. You'll ride through the clouds to the summit of Mount Olympos, also known as Tahtali, on one of the longest cable car rides in the world – it's more than 4km long. At the summit, which is 2,365m above sea level, you'll have plenty of time to soak up 360-degree panoramas from the viewing platforms, just as the ancient gods and goddesses did.

We enjoyed the tour of the ancient city, BUT the toilet facilities left a lot to be disered, absolutely disgusting. The cable car ride was fantastic but would have liked longer there and maybe lunch there as well to be included, as the Dino park was a complete waste of everyone's time and brought no pleasure to the day out. What do a group of adults do a a child's theme area, NOTHING. WASTE OF TIME.

As two mid 70’s travellers we were told the journey time to the destination would be ninety minutes or there about the actual time was 3 hours, the trip stated there would be swimming time at the first destination in reality there wasn’t enough time to get changed swim and dried before it was time to leave so we didn’t bother. The cable car ride was a unique experience the lunch was 75 minutes late and the journey back was 150 minutes we feel we were misold this mostly unenjoyable lengthy experi

Cable car at Olympos was good. For the Phaselis ruins and swimming, there wasn’t enough time. If you want to do both, you have to choose between seeing the theater or swimming. If you do both the ruins tour and swimming, then you can only swim for about 10 minutes. The ruins tour is just a quick explanation of the aqueduct and agora. You go to the theater without a guide. Dino Park was quite outdated. Activities were closed. Bunnies were kept in a small cage. Food served was ok.
