What to expect

The Royal Palace of Madrid, one of Western Europe's grandest royal buildings, is a must-see if you're visiting the city. Spanning over 50,000 m2 and comprising 3,418 rooms, 240 balconies, and 870 windows, its sheer size is impressive. However, it's not just the scale that captivates visitors but also the opulence and beauty of its interiors, making the site a property of National Heritage.

On this guided tour, you'll explore various rooms starting with the Zaguán. You'll be awestruck by the column hall, the Carlos III dining room, the porcelain room, the gala dining room, and the throne room. You'll also admire an extensive collection of watches, some of them automata, carpets, chandeliers, frescoes by Rafael Mengs or Corrado Giaquinto, and a Stradivarius collection.

The tour concludes with a visit to the Royal Armoury museum, which houses the second most significant collection of royal armaments in Europe. This exhibition of luxury weapons from the House of Austria, including swords, shields, and armour, originates from the testamentary dispositions of King Felipe II and is now considered one of the jewels of Spanish historical heritage.
