Nikosia ist eine faszinierende Stadt, die Sie erkunden können - sie bietet Ihnen einen Einblick in zwei sehr unterschiedliche Welten. Diese Tour beginnt im südlichen Teil Zyperns und führt durch die Pufferzone der „Grünen Linie“ in den nördlichen Teil von Nikosia.

Ihr erster Halt ist die im französisch-byzantinischen Stil erbaute Johanneskathedrale. Als Nächstes steht ein Spaziergang durch die historischen Straßen von Laiki Geitonia innerhalb der venezianischen Stadtmauern auf dem Programm. Es ist ein Labyrinth aus gewundenen Straßen mit Kirchen, Plätzen und verzierten Gebäuden.

Nachdem Sie die Grüne Linie passiert haben, hören Sie Erzählungen über die Geschichte und Kultur der Stadt, während Sie einige der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen.     Tour was as described, well organised, and being a small group when we went, kept well to time. Chris was knowledgeable and efficient. From Limassol, I’d highly recommend. I know that the people from Paphos had a longer travel time, but for us, it wasn’t a challenging day.

    I enjoyed the chance to go to Nicosia and the guide was very knowledgeable with lots of interesting facts. Unfortunately she was rather obsessed with excessively out toilet facilities wherever we went! We expected to hear a bit more about the buffer zone and “no man’s land” but this wasn’t covered. Also there was a limit to what you could do on the Turkish side as all the stalls sold counterfeit goods which you’re not allowed to take back over the border.

    It was an excellent tour, the guide was very knowledgeable and kept us all together. The lemonade stop was very good and we had plenty of free time after. The temperature was very hot so was quite tiring. Overall very good value for money

    Tour guide and driver were excellent the only downside to the trip was the travel time as we were the first to be picked up a 2 hour drive turned into 3.5 hrs same on way back
